The Service Officer

The Branch Service Officer is a volunteer in the local Branch of the Legion.  The Branch Service Officer assists Veterans by identifying those with unmet health needs and possible benefits from Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and then by making appropriate referrals to Command Service Officers.  The Service Officer can assist Veterans fill out the forms required in an application for Veterans benefits.  Services provided by the Service Officer are provided at no cost and there is no requirement to be a Legion member.  The Service Officer assists in providing memorial services at the Branch for veterans and Legion members.
